Healing and Wholeness |
|
We know that in order to attain true health and wellness, we need to facilitate wellness at every level of the being; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual; and this includes at both conscious levels of awareness and subconscious levels of awareness. This is because these aspects of our selves are deeply interwoven with one another; and imbalances in one aspect will affect the other aspects. Yogis, spiritual masters, and gurus from every spiritual tradition understood these things; and they used this knowledge to clear their consciousness, to gain clarity of perception and control of the mind, to attain healing, wholeness, self mastery, spiritual growth and unity with Source/God/Spirit. Now, we all have an opportunity to become aware of the subtle inner workings of the human form so that we may benefit from the wisdom teachings which have stood the test of time. And these teachings have been found in all the traditions of the world, each in their own unique and beautiful language, but all speaking the same truth.
We now understand that consciousness & energy precedes form. How this applies to health and wellness is in the understanding that when a disturbance or disease emerges in the physical body, it is certain to have been present in the form of some type of consciousness and energy prior to. Therefore, bringing the energy body or subtle bodies and one’s consciousness into a healthy attunement is likened to treating the root of the problem. So the wisdom in understanding the human energy field and the human consciousness is that it affords us a link for the re-establishment of health and wellness within us through the joyful remembrance and return of our true self and our true nature.
When one has brought themselves into true healing and wholeness, they possess ‘the peace that surpasses all understanding’. When looked upon from a full spectrum lens, we can see that true healing and wholeness is a multidimensional journey. We can see that there are many parts to the whole; and that during the course of our journeys in life, through our individual experiences and sufferings, we may have injured certain parts of our psyche, certain parts of our bodies, and certain parts of our minds. Sometimes it can even feel as though we have completely lost parts of ourselves. Very often, the seeming busyness of life will not allow us to even become aware that this is so, and this is where part of the problem lies.
One universal truth which has stood the test of time is that healing requires time, effort, and change. And so it is that if one is willing to allow healing to take time; if one is willing to put their attention and effort into healing themselves; and if one is willing to change, then one can attain true healing and wholeness.
