As we grow in our awareness we are reminded that the Earth is a living planetary body, in whom life and consciousness also resides.  We see that if the Earth is not well, we also are not well.  In light of the truth that the Earth is hosting our experience in embodiment, we can feel a gratitude for this beautiful planet, and we can demonstrate our gratitude by cultivating an awareness and sensitivity to the Earth’s own needs for care and wellbeing. We can walk lightly and gently upon the earth, and treat her with honor and care. We can conduct our affairs in an environmentally friendly manner because we know that the choices that we make today, will affect the world tomorrow.

One of the greatest tragedies which unfolded in our evolution was our slow and steady disconnect from the Earth and Nature.  And yet, we know that there is little else more healing to our own body, mind, and spirit as a walk on a beautiful day, a stroll in the park, the perusal of a garden, or a chair by the beach.  And as we stop and look upon the beauty of creation, we realize that the Presence, the Spirit, and the Magnificence of Source/God is manifest in all of Creation-- and through taking the time to take notice of the trees, the flowers, the butterflies, the stars, the planets, and the countless other miracles present in everyday life, we begin to sense the enormity of Creation, the scope of which seems utterly beyond our comprehension.  We begin to recognize the intricate beauty that lies within each living thing and the uniqueness of each creation.  We begin to see the Presence of Source/God/Spirit in all of Creation. Through this awareness, we gain a deeper understanding of self, of Source, of the unity of all life, of the rhythm of life, and of the divinity of life.

Taking time to connect with the Earth and Nature and bringing our life into harmony and balance with her affords us a new and brightly harmonious resonance. The wisdom and healing found through this connection is profound.  And when we show kindness to every living thing, we honor the Spirit & Presence of God that is within it; and in so doing, we honor ourselves.  We have observed that when one walks in harmony with the forces of life and nature, that this releases waves of grace which support one greatly on their own spiritual journey.
