Healing the Mental Body |

Seeing how the mind and its faculties and patterns are supremely instrumental in the creation of our reality, we realize the need to identify and transform discordant patterns of thinking into light-filled creative thinking so that we can manifest the reality that we truly desire.
And we start this process again by simply becoming a quiet observer of our own mind. We notice what type of thinking regularly appears in our mind. We may see here again that our discordantly charged emotions [held both consciously and subconsciously] energize the mental body to mirror thoughts and images that reflect our feelings. These discordant thoughts, images, and negative self talking plays like a movie in our head.
We learn to Listen to our Mental Body
Do we have the regular appearance of obsessive thoughts or worries? Do we have thoughts which mirror negative emotions like jealousy, envy, fear, inferiority, arrogance, or judgmentalness? Again, we go into this process through self observation without judgment. And when we observe the appearance of a discordant thought, we can take a deep breath and quiet our mind. We can turn within our own self, quiet, and focus and follow the thought to its core.
Is it fear?
More often than not, it is the energies of FEAR behind these discordant emotions and thinking. We realize that we must honestly come face to face with our fears if we are to achieve wholeness. We realize that we have a choice about what we give our energy and power to. We see that we can choose either love or fear — and that there are really no other options. |

If we think about it, we can see that thoughtforms carry an “energy” that can be felt and seen. If we have ever been around someone who was filled with anger and hostility we were undoubtedly able to see [although not with physical sight] and feel their rage and hostility —without the exchange of words. And one who chronically holds very discordant thoughtforms and feelings will eventually materialize a very discordant situation in his or her life.
The process of creation is initiated with thought. If thought is loving, kind, and pure in its intention, it is the seed for the manifestation of a loving, kind, and pure creation. If thought is filled with anger, jealousy, and resentment; it is the seed for the manifestation of a discordant creation.
It starts by the planting of the seed with the discordant thoughts. If the seed is fed with more anger, more blame, more rage, more resentment, and more fear; it will grow and begin to attract like vibrations unto itself. As it grows, it will become more powerful. Eventually, it will present itself to its creator in form.
Conversely, we have also likely been around someone who is very loving and kind — and we were able to see and feel their energy of love and kindness. And if this person has a loving thought, or idea, or dream, they plant a beautiful seed. They feed their seed with more loving thoughts, more kindness, and it grows and begins to attract like vibrations unto itself. As it grows it becomes more powerful. Eventually, it will present itself to its creator in form.
Eventually we see the inescapable truth:
We are the creators of our own reality And if we don’t like what we have created We can create a different reality
We see that when our minds are filled with discordant thoughts and negative expectations, that we are literally drawing that to ourselves. And that when our minds are filled with love, positive expectations, and good will towards our self and others, that we are likewise drawing that to ourselves. But we can rest assured that we can achieve calmness, clarity, peacefulness, and control in our own mind with practice.
We are reminded that our thoughts also can have a healing or an adverse effect on others as we are all connected. So when one holds thoughts and feelings of hatred, jealousy, or other animosity for another, and holds intentions which are harmful, they are literally sending energetic “attachments” to that person. These energetic attachments have the effect of invading that person’s energy field and depleting them. So we need to come to terms with the idea that we can harm others with our discordant thinking and there is a certain “karma” associated with that. This inspires us to take seriously this task of making peace with the past, making peace with what is, and clearing the mind.
We can also examine what we put into our mind. We see that we don’t need to fill our mind with garbage via TV or other mediums because it doesn’t help us. So we start to clean house from every direction and we soon see very impressive results.
Understanding the art of focus and attention is central to the process of self mastery. Wherever we place our attention; that is where we are. And whatever we place our attention on; that is what we will become. And so, the master must learn to use the powers of the mind through focus and attention, to bring the whole self into balance and to create the reality that they desire.
Some people find that affirmations are useful to re-pattern the mind and help to uproot and remove discordant thoughtforms and patterns. Maybe we want to try it. Maybe we can replace a discordant thought with something like this:
I am light I am love I am free I am strong I am compassion I am joy I am forgiving I am perfect health in my body I am perfect health in my mind
Or maybe we can think of our own wonderful affirmations and make it fun!
Eventually, the mental body begins to take on a new appearance as a result of the clearing and clarity achieved by all of our hard work. And as a result of that, the mental body becomes like a satellite dish, or receptor, or a mirror for the receiving of Divine inspiration, Divine guidance, and Divine direction. And though we see that this process is very gradual, we discover that there is the slow and steady emergence of a state that could be described as “mental neutrality,” whereby one is no longer troubled by constant mental chatter but rather one is ever inspired to move further and further into the self. At some juncture, when the conscious mind has been tamed, one will automatically trigger the revelation of things held at a more subconscious level — and therein lies a whole new journey.
