Healing the Spiritual Body

“Be here below, all that you are above.”

                                                       Jesus

If we can make some space for daily prayer and meditation, we may find that we are better able to stay focused and aligned with our healing and spiritual goals, centered, and pointed in the “right” direction.  These practices also help us to awaken to the Divine within our own self and as a result of doing this every day, we will observe wonderful shifts in our life and in our entire being which begins to unfold the true and lasting peace and joy that our heart desires.

We see that our Spiritual focus is like a bridge to the Presence of Source/God/Spirit within us. And we find that when we go into our own heart and mind in prayer and meditation, and turn our attention towards our Source/God/Spirit within, and in conjunction with our determined efforts to clear the total consciousness, that there is an automatic triggering of an infusion of divine light - and that our entire being is cleansed by this, strengthened by this, and enriched by this.

We see too, that there may be a need to examine our own “God concepts” as we move forward on our journey.  For many of us, through various experiences and the acceptance of certain fear based religious dogma and other religious programming, that we may have come to believe that God was outside of our selves — maybe way above us, or maybe somewhere in the sky, or maybe somewhere over the clouds, but somewhere outside of ourselves.

This pattern will, little by little shift, as one comes around to the gradual and growing awareness that the Presence of Source/God/Spirit is within them—indeed—is the very Consciousness that animates their own life!

This realization is the keystone which inspires many other shifts of consciousness and realizations that lead one to great gratitude and joy, for it is the knowledge that is the first arcane in understanding one’s self and indeed the universe itself. And through the doorway of this realization all other realizations flow.

At some juncture, through our diligent efforts, the spiritual body is brought into great activity and we observe the opening of the pathways of light which may have been dormant in us for so long. One beautiful way of envisioning this opening of our spiritual energetic pathways can be found in the Eastern image of the crown chakra which is located at the top of our head.  In Eastern philosophy, this crown chakra is called “the thousand petaled lotus”. It represents our connection to Source/God/Spirit.  This image of the lotus flower makes a perfect analogy to what occurs during the spiritual awakening of a soul.  This is because during a spiritual awakening, what happens is that all of the higher points of our consciousness begin to open and unfold like the petals of a flower. And as this opening and unfolding occurs, it may demonstrate itself in some way as a physical manifestation.  Many begin to feel tingling sensations and energy moving about the crown of the head [the 7th chakra], in the brow area [the sixth chakra or third eye], and in the pineal gland.  We see that this is just a result of our higher centers opening in response to our return to our spiritual core. We feel the presence of light —and these sensations may bring us great joy, and are very comforting.

We see that there is something that we might call an “energetic bridge” which is activated in response to all the love, energy, and attention which we have placed on knowing our Source/God/Spirit. This bridge is commonly and esoterically termed “the antakarana,” or the “rainbow bridge”.  It is our original stream of unitedness. Through this bridge that we have brought into activation we open up a greater flow of loftier frequencies which greatly enhances our attunement and flow with life, with self, and with the Spirit within. This attunement allows us to walk with greater knowing, with greater understanding, and in greater harmony and closeness  with our Source Consciousness. This bridge opens up as a natural by product of our spiritual focus.

And as we continue to do our work to clear the consciousness at every level, we see that there are  released a number of different vibrations of light which were previously unavailable to us because of our level of consciousness.  And as a result of the release of these loftier frequencies of light, we are lifted and supported immeasurably to continue our inner journey of self discovery and self realization.

The Spirit within then becomes both the directing and driving force of our life— whereas in times past, it was the ego/personality.  No longer are we all bound up by the past, or by what other people think of us, or by limiting belief systems, or by religious dogma, or by separative thinking, or by discordant emotional/mental responses and patterning, or by attachments to material [people, places, things, times and events] — for we have let go of it all, we have forgiven all, we have forgiven self, we have stopped giving our power away to things outside of our self, and we have looked only to the Spirit within to be our guide.  We have no need or desire to judge anyone for we realize that they are also Source/God/Spirit, and that this is a journey of learning, and that it is ok for them to be wherever they are. We are now able to see God within our self, within others, and in all of creation. We move about then with great gratitude for our awareness and with regard for the Presence of Source/God/Spirit in all of life, ever seeking to more fully embody that Great Spirit in our own self.
