“Energy Medicine” or “Vibrational Medicine” are terms that are used to describe a wide variety of holistic therapeutic techniques that are used to re-pattern the subtle energies present within the total consciousness [physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual]; at both conscious and subconscious levels of awareness, into their original, innate and natural composition and flow. Essentially, our natural state could be described as a condition of light, illumination, clarity, harmony, fluidity and unity. And we see that this return to our natural state ultimately allows for us to then be able to feel our own innately loving, joyful and peaceful true nature which begins to shine through and unfold naturally as a result of clearing away disharmonious elements of consciousness and energy. We observe that this reestablishment of true nature, optimal flow and balance also encourages the restoration of the body’s own natural ability to heal itself. Amongst the many techniques that may fall into the category of energy medicine are reiki, qi gong, pranic healing, shamballa, soulwisdom remote healing, magnified healing, therapeutic touch, theta healing, integrated energy therapy, acupressure, acupuncture, polarity therapy, papimi, and there are actually many more. While there are varying degrees of differences in the philosophy, evolution, and application of these techniques, they share the common goal of bringing the body, mind, and spirit to a place of balance and wellness. Energy Medicine honors the inextricable connections between body, mind, and spirit. Subtle energies, sometimes called “life-force” energies are present everywhere in and around us and permeate this entire universe. Both Science and Quantum Physics have validated the existence of subtle energies through the use of kirlian photography and many other methods and have validated the existence of the human auric field which surrounds each one of us. Many of the vibrational or energy techniques used today are actually the rebirthing or remembering of very ancient techniques that were used to heal in times past. Yet we are ever continuing to make new discoveries that allow us to expand our understanding of life, of self, and of the universe. What has been realized is that everything is consciousness & energy; and that more subtle forms of consciousness and energy exist within every form. How this applies to health and wellness is in the understanding that when discomfort, dissonance or disease emerges in the physical body, it is certain to have been present within the subtle bodies in the form of some type of consciousness and energy prior to its emergence in the physical body as pain, disruption, or disease. Therefore we see that focusing our attention on the subtle bodies and our consciousness and energy is likened to going to the root of the problem. The life force energy, also called ki or chi or prana, enters our bodies through the seven gateways called chakras. Sometimes the chakras can become blocked and the flow of ki is impaired. Sometimes unhealthy energies may appear in the auric field which contains the energies of the etheric, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. Energy blocks in these areas will also impair optimal flow of ki. When these obstructive forces are left unattended, they continue to exert their discordant effect on the system and sometimes they can grow into very unhealthy sizes and applications. When this happens, we are more apt to develop illness or disease. Health and well being are dependent on the free flow of ki throughout the body. Universal Center for Energy Medicine offers both remote subconscious mind healing as well as treatments that involve the direct application of healing energy such as reiki, shamballa, integrated energy therapy, and magnified healing. The treatment is done by gentle hand placement over the chakras, and areas of the body and energy field that are observed to be in need of recalibration and clearing. When the healing energy is applied to the blocks, the blocks are encouraged to dissolve and the body can better regain its natural ability to heal and regulate itself. Proper circulation of ki can be restored. The body, mind, and spirit can be brought into a greater degree of wellness. Because the body’s innate inner wisdom recognizes the energy to be of Light and wholesomely spiritual in nature, treatments are always deeply comforting and relaxing — reminding us that we are spiritual beings of light. If anyone wishes to learn these methods to treat themselves or others, it can easily be done by receiving instruction and an attunement by a certified Master Teacher. Anyone may choose to do this and there are no prerequisites. Most all of the techniques that are used here at the Center are taught in the form of one or two day workshops that are enlightening, fun, healing and relatively inexpensive. The goal of all the work that we do being the absolute self empowerment of each individual. Energy Medicine is practiced around the world in hospitals, hospices, and in private practice. Energy Medicine is not a substitute for medical attention or medical treatment and does not involve diagnosis or prescription. It can be used as a complementary treatment in conjunction with conventional medicine. Many choose to use energy medicine without the presence of illness as a way of maintaining wellness and balance; and many come in for sessions just to enjoy the exquisite peace & serenity they offer. Many make a session a gift to themselves or a loved one. While these energy practices are associated with inward reflection of light & spiritual connection, they are not in any way a religion or associated with any religious dogma or religious practice. Rather, they teach us to remember our innate spiritual self and to honor that as the true core of our being.
